Slocum-Dickson Medical Building, New Hartford, NY – Interior Alterations/Department Relocations, CT Suite
Three years of phasing to relocate, upgrade, or renovate 23,285 SF of the Slocum-Dickson Building. Departments included: Urology, Gastrointestinal, Mammography and Breast Care, Radiographic Room, Radiography and Fluoroscopy Neurology, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pulmonary, Ultrasound & Reading Rooms, Physician Offices, Laboratory, Administration, Medical Records, and Business Office. NAAE provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, data, and security for the project.
NAAE designed the scan room for a GE Lightspeed Volume Computerized Tomography (64 slice). This room was enclosed with lead lined gypsum board, lead lined doors and lead equivalent glass. The injector is suspended from a Unistrut ceiling support. A reading room is located directly behind the operator’s room. The suite also contains a holding area for observing the patients along with dressing rooms, a toilet room, and a waiting area.
