Slocum-Dickson Medical Building, New Hartford, NY – Interior Alterations/Department Relocations, Radiology and Fluoroscopy Suite
Three years of phasing to relocate, upgrade, or renovate 23,285 SF of the Slocum-Dickson Building. Departments included: Urology, Gastrointestinal, Mammography and Breast Care, Radiographic Room, Radiography and Fluoroscopy Neurology, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pulmonary, Ultrasound & Reading Rooms, Physician Offices, Laboratory, Administration, Medical Records, and Business Office. NAAE provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, data, and security for the project.
NAAE designed a lead lined room to house Siemen’s Radiology & Fluoroscopy equipment featuring the Sireskop SD Table and Polydoros SX80 Generator. This room has a unistrut system designed to support the rails for the overhead equipment. NAAE coordinated with the physicist to specify the proper lead thickness and lead equivalence glass.
